Dr Pepper was invented in the 1880s by Charles Alderton, a young pharmacist in Waco, Texas. He created the unique soft drink at Morrison’s Old Corner Drug Store, mixing various fruit syrups. The drink quickly gained popularity, leading to its official bottling in 1891 and the eventual establishment of the Dr Pepper Company in 1923.
