Understanding the Salem Witch Trials: A Dark Chapter in History

The Salem Witch Trials were a series of hearings and prosecutions in colonial Massachusetts between 1692 and 1693. Fueled by superstition, fear, and societal tensions, over 200 people were accused of witchcraft. In the end, 19 were executed, and the trials highlighted the dangers of extremism and mass hysteria.
