Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer was created in 1939 by Robert L. May for a Montgomery Ward Christmas booklet. The story follows Rudolph, a young reindeer shunned for his glowing red nose. Rather than being an outcast, he ultimately saves Christmas by guiding Santa’s sleigh through thick fog. This tale teaches acceptance and teamwork.
