Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. was founded in 1922 by seven educators in Indianapolis, Indiana. Aimed at uplifting women of color, it has since expanded to include service, scholarship, and sisterhood. The sorority focuses on community service and empowerment, making significant contributions to societal improvement and education.
