To change the background color on your Instagram story, open the Instagram app and tap the camera icon to create a new story. Take or upload a photo, then tap the drawing tool (the pencil icon). Choose a color from the palette at the bottom, then tap and hold on your photo to fill the background with the selected color. Release to apply!
