To change the background color in Adobe Premiere Pro, start by selecting your sequence. Then, create a color matte by going to File > New > Color Matte. Choose your desired color and click OK. Drag the color matte to your timeline on a video track below your clips. Resize it to fill the entire frame to achieve your new background color.
